Parking Updates for 2022-23 School Year

Faculty/staff permits for the 2022-23 school year go on sale Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

“A” annual permits are $259 for the 2022-23 school year, with “A” semester permits available for $86.

“As we close the gap between employees and students, parking at The University of Toledo remains comparable to institutions across Ohio and the Midwest,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo.

For those enrolled in payroll deduction for an annual permit, no action is needed.

University of Toledo employees enrolled in payroll deduction for annual “A, G & E” permits will see an increase on their pay statements starting August 12.

“With the updated pricing, employees purchasing an “A” annual permit will still pay less than $10 a pay period,” Kaspar added.

For employees and affiliates that purchased an annual “A, G & E” permit by credit card, the 2021-22 permits expire on August 5.

2022-23 permits will be available for purchase in your parking portal starting July 19 (for first time buyers) and starting July 22 (for employees and affiliates renewing an existing permit).

“This summer we continued our upgrades to various parking areas on both the main and health science campuses,” stated Kaspar. “Since ParkUToledo took over management of the parking areas on campus last fall, our team is focused on getting ahead of possible maintenance issues and improving the lots to industry standards.”

This summer, ParkUToledo is completely renovating Area 1N near McMaster Hall on Main Campus. Area 1N was leveled, repaved and restriped. The parking bollards were also removed.

Area 26, next to the University Health Center, is also undergoing major renovations. The area is not only getting repaved and restriped, the storm water and drainage lines are also getting upgraded.

Area 14, between Memorial Field House and MacKinnon Hall was also repaved and restriped.

Area 42A, just off of Hospital Drive on Health Science Campus, will be rebuilt from the ground up with a new, more efficient traffic pattern.

Area 44, near the Collier Building on Health Science Campus, is under construction as the surface lot undergoes repairs and repaving.

This fall, Area 48, located next to the Ruppert Health Center on Health Science Campus will be repaired, repaved and restriped.

Areas 5, 6S, 8, 9, 10, 10S, 11, 27B, 27C, 40A and 7S will be resealed and restriped prior to the start of the fall semester. Areas 12 and 40 will also be restriped.

Patient areas will also be updated with green lines to help differentiate patient parking from student/staff/affiliate parking on The University of Toledo Medical Campus.

“The goal is to get the majority of our major renovations completed before the start of the fall semester with the exception of Area 48,” added Kaspar. “Our various renovations and ongoing maintenance improves our parking areas to give all parties on campus a safe and efficient parking experience.”

Please remember all vehicles on campus must be registered with a permit purchased online in advance or by utilizing the ParkMobile App or a parking meter when visiting campus.

Updated parking policies and procedures do have parking permits enforced between semesters, during academic breaks and on weekends.

Enforcement Hours:

  • Monday through Friday 7AM-10PM
  • Saturday & Sunday 9AM-5PM

On weekdays from 5PM-7AM and on Saturdays & Sundays, active permits may park in areas designated for other permits. Exceptions include: reserved, disabled, metered, patient and no overnight parking areas.

Parking in Patient Areas

Employees, students and affiliates parking on The University of Toledo Health Science and Main Campuses now have the option to register to park in patient parking areas for periods when they’ll be on site as a patient.

Click here to submit an optional form to park as a patient.

Forms must be submitted prior to the visit. Once a permit holder concludes their time as a patient, they are expected to move their vehicle to the appropriate parking area as designated by their individual permits.

Employees, students and affiliates can also visit ParkUToledo.com and follow the chart below.

On the left hand side of the screen click on either Student, Employee or Affiliate Parking. On the dropdown menu, select “Parking in Patient Areas.” Then fill out the form in its entirety.

Please verify you are entering the correct license plate number.

“ParkUToledo worked closely with the leadership team at The University of Toledo Medical Center to come up with an option to allow patrons who work or study on campus to park as patients on the Health Science and Main Campuses when necessary,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo.

ParkUToledo is currently updating all patient parking areas with green lines to differentiate patient parking spaces from employee, student and affiliate parking spaces. All patient spaces should be green by mid-August.

If a ticket is received while parking in a patient area please call (419)530-4100 or email info@parkutoledo.com.
