Area 12 Construction Shifting to Phase Two and Other Closures

ParkUToledo’s construction project in Area 12, 12S & 12W (the parking lots surrounding the UToledo College of Law) will shift to phase two this weekend. Vehicles must be moved out of phase 2 (see image below), by 5pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Area 12 Phase 2 Dates: June 1st-Aug 2nd
During construction, employees, students and guests are encouraged to park as their permits allow in Areas 13, 25 and 26. Please refer to the light post signs or line colors (yellow or white painted lines) as a secondary reference.

Weather permitting, phase one (the northern section highlighted below in red) will reopen the morning of Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Once phase one reopens, please use extreme caution when entering and exiting the parking area as the entrance off of West Towerview Boulevard will be the only entrance/exit for Area 12 for the remainder of the construction project.

Please note, during phase two, the sidewalk on the east side of the College of Law will be reconstructed. While under construction, the sidewalk will be closed.

Weather permitting, Area 12 will reopen in early August.

Additional Projects to Start on June 19

Starting at 7am on Wednesday, June 19, Areas 7N, 7S, 9, 19S, 27A, 27B, 27C, 27D and 33S will close for renovations. During construction, South Glass Bowl Drive west of Stadium Drive will also be closed.

    • Located west of the Glass Bowl, east of Parks Tower.
  • Areas 7S
      Loop located west of the Glass Bowl, surrounding McComas Village.
  • Area 9
    • Located just south of the Glass Bowl, east of McComas Village.
  • Area 19S
    • Located north of North Engineering, east of North Westwood Avenue.
  • Areas 27A, 27B, 27C & 27D
    • Located around Ottawa House East, Ottawa House West and Presidents Hall off of West Rocket Drive.
  • Area 33S
    • Located south of the Research and Technology Complex near the solar panels.

Area 6 Closing for Summer Renovation Project

Area 6 (the surface lot west of Paul Hotmer Field, north of the Health Education Center) will close starting at 8pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024 for a complete renovation.

This summer, Area 12, 12S & 12W (the parking lots surrounding the UToledo College of Law) will close in phases, starting at 8pm on Sunday, May 12, 2024 for a full renovation.

During construction, employees, students and guests are encouraged to park as their permits allow in the open section of Area 12 or Areas 13, 25 and 26. Please refer to the light post signs or line colors (yellow or white painted lines) as a secondary reference.

All vehicles must be moved out of Phase 1, the northern section of Area 12 (see image below), by 8pm on Sunday, May 12th.

Phase 2 (tentatively June 1st – August 2nd)
